Rethink the thought: Barbie can be data too
I grew up loving the Barbie movies, and among her many careers came my choice for data. The films' universe was missing a dataset, so I built my own.
I loved the Barbie movies that came out while I was growing up. Many of them made me dream bigger, be a kinder human being, and a curious thinker. Among her many careers, Barbie helped me choose my own professional path, there is no denying it.
Since I started with data, I had only found two datasets about her, and I am grateful to Judit Bekker for putting her work online. I could not find structured information on the movies, so I decided it was time to make my own. After all, Barbie can be all she wants, even data.
The Barbie Cinematographic Universe dataset is now available to everyone on Kaggle. Have fun creating with it. More coming soon.
